Makemytrip.com launches OffisialAtyachaar.com to target holidays and packages

Online travel company MakeMyTrip.com international has launched OffisialAtyachaar.com, an online campaign to promote its Weekend Breakaways travel packages. According to MakeMyTrip, an interesting feature of the campaign is the OffisialAtyachaar anthem. [Please note the spelling of the word ‘official’ in the website URL. It’s not a typo!]

Conceived jointly by Euro RSCG and digiVaasi, OffisialAtyachaar.com comes with various interactive features such as jokes, games, wallpapers and ringtone downloads. Besides, MakeMyTrip has also joined hands with eBay India to sell customised T-Shirts through the campaign website.

“The campaign tries to address the core emotion of professionals when they face problems in striking a balance between their work and personal life. Taking breaks from work ensures a healthy and better work life and this is what the campaign tries to spread as a message,” Mohit Gupta, CMO, MakeMyTrip, has told AlooTechie.

“We have done a very minimal amount of branding on this campaign as our goal is to spread around the word about the importance having a balanced lifestyle,” Mohit Gupta has added. According to Gupta, the campaign is targeted towards modern-day professionals who are money-rich and time-poor and can hardly take out time for personal outings.

MakeMyTrip.com international has also created a fan page of the campaign on Facebook. “This is only the initial rollout of the campaign and we have plans to take it to new levels by launching it in new phases. We are expecting a lot of awareness on better work life to be generated through this campaign,” said Mohit Gupta.
